The Museum is the home of the Ramsey Area Archives, which comprise the most extensive collection of historical material pertaining to Ramsey and the surrounding area. The archives contain photos, videos, recordings, maps, documents, drawings and ephemera.

The collection of physical material is held in the museum’s reception area in a series of binders. The index to the binders is available online in binders; the material itself is available for study whenever the museum is open and at other times by appointment (see Contact Us).
A microfiche reader and photocopying facilities are available for use with the physical material. Free internet access is available, and a computer is provided – but you can also bring your own wireless network enabled device.
If you need any help there is always a Volunteer around to give you assistance.
We can arrange access to the vast collection of electronic material: files, audio, images, videos, links to external sources, etc. See Contact Us for details.
The archivists are continuously adding to, refining and researching the collection and are keen to share their latest findings. To this end they post on various social media outlets (e.g. the museum’s Facebook page).
